Wipe up spills right away.
Vacuum or sweep your floor on a periodic basis to remove any loose dirt and/or dust.
Place walk off mats at all entrances to your home from the outside; this will help to absorb soil, sand grit and moisture that would otherwise be tracked inside your home.
Do not use rubber or foam backed plastic mats on resilient, laminate and hardwood installations as they may discolour the floor.
Always use soft fabric faced furniture leg protectors (never plastic).
When moving furniture or appliances always be sure that your floor is correctly protected and that the appropriate equipment is being used.
Avoid sharp objects such as stiletto-style heals or any shoes with cleats as they may cause damage.
Keep your pets nails trim.
Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for proper cleaning products and on-going maintenance guidelines.

Remember, it is of the utmost importance that the first 24-48 hours after the floor installation you keep foot traffic to a minimum, avoid the placement of furniture and heavy objects on the floor and refrain from cleaning the floor until it has had time to properly set.
