With the appearance and the touch of natural wood, its versatility and stability allow for installation close to heat sources, on concrete or in unsettled temperature environment.

An engineered plank is multiple layers of wood laminated together with the grains crossing with each successive layer. This creates a structurally stable wood floor that will offset the expansion and contraction of the top layer caused by changes in humidity. The top layer is a thinner version of solid hardwood. You can choose from traditional to exotic species.

Tip: The thicker the top layer is, the more ability it has to sustain damage and subsequent repair.

Ask your Sears advisor to guide you through our different species of engineered wood and to explain the different qualities on the market.
